Caesars Palace Hotel & Casino

If you’re looking for the ultimate Vegas experience, our top choice for your stay would have to be The Venetian.

Offering a blend of Italian-inspired luxury and modern elegance, this is the quintessential Vegas hotel to stay in for every occasion — whether you’re a solo traveler, there to win big bucks, or to party with friends.

There is a vast array of dining options, so grab some Italian, Asian American and fusion cuisines or enjoy the signature raw bar at Thomas Keller’s Bouchon. Fancy a drink? Get dressed up for some tasty, unique drinks at Electra, the in-house cocktail bar.

And with 10 outdoor pools to enjoy with friends and private cabanas to lounge all day long in, we think The Venetian is the perfect place to relax during your stay in Vegas. Make big bucks in the casino, and spend that money at one of the Grand Canal Shoppes' 150 boutiques.

Best luxury hotel

Situated in the heart of the Las Vegas strip, The Bellagio is what many people envision in their heads when they think of Vegas hotels, thanks to its renowned dancing fountain

With lavish, elegant rooms and marble en-suite bathrooms, guests are sure to feel like royalty from the moment they open the door. With views of the Strip, we recommend having a drink in your room while watching the action down below.

The fun isn’t just contained to your room though — take a dip in one of the five pools, or take a stroll around the stunning botanical gardens.

Want to really treat yourself? Shop at any of the luxurious boutiques from luxury brands such as FENDI, Cartier and Hermès.

Best budget hotel

If you’re doing Vegas on a budget, we recommend staying at the Luxor Las Vegas.

This landmark hotel (yes, the one shaped like an Ancient Egyptian pyramid) is a monument on the Vegas Strip, and we don’t think you can really say you’ve experienced Vegas without at least visiting the Luxor.

While we love the ancient Egypt theme, the rooms themselves are fresh, modern and (most importantly) spacious, making them perfect after a long day of debauchery.

The Luxor is a beacon of entertainment, with a full-service spa, four pools, and of course, the expansive casino with 120,000 feet of table games and slots to enjoy.

Another iconic Vegas hotel, we can’t think of a better place to stay with friends than Caesars Palace.

Boasting world-class entertainment in the form of a sprawling casino, seven swimming pools, and a spa with unique services including Roman Bath hydrotherapy and an Arctic Ice room, you’re sure to feel invigorated and relaxed.

For us, the best part of Caesars Palace is the range of iconic restaurants. From Gordon Ramsays Pub & Grill and Hell’s Kitchen, Nobu and Mr. Chow, we think the only problem you’ll face is deciding which of these delicious options to explore first.

Situated in the heart of downtown Las Vegas, the Circa Resort & Casino is perfect if you’re looking for a child-free getaway.

With spacious, contemporary rooms, and laptop-friendly workspaces, this is the perfect place to mix business with pleasure in a relaxing adult-only environment.

The hotel not only has an impressive six pools, but it also has two swim-up bars, allowing you to sip your fancy, fruity cocktails while taking a dip. Sounds like heaven to us!

There’s a 24-hour fitness center, designer boutiques, spa services and a casino (with two VIP rooms, so don’t be surprised to see a famous face!), making it the perfect place to stay if you don’t want to leave your hotel at all.

Best non-gambling hotel

While gambling is the reason for most people to visit Vegas, we know it’s not for everyone. So if you prefer to stay in a hotel without a casino, we recommend the Four Seasons.

Known for its elegant interior from the marble bathrooms to the large walk-in closets, and featuring mountain and Las Vegas Strip views, we’re sure you’ll never want to leave your room.

Kick back at the large outdoor pool and then enjoy some beauty treatments or a relaxing massage at the full-service spa.

Since it’s a casino-free hotel, this is one of our favorites if you’re traveling with children — it offers both family rooms and babysitting services if you want to get up to some mischief with the adults.

Best hotel for views

While the majority of hotels in Vegas offer fabulous views, we think the ones offered at the Waldorf Astoria are a cut above the rest.

All rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the Las Vegas Strip or the city and are complemented by luxurious contemporary decor.

The views aren’t just for your bedroom however — enjoy a handcrafted cocktail looking out over the Strip at Sky Bar and indulge in afternoon tea with a view at the Tea Lounge for the ultimate experience.

Thinking of taking a dip? At the Waldorf Astoria, you’ll be spoilt for choice. With private cabanas, two lap pools, hot tubs and a plunge pool, you’re sure to find reprieve from the Nevada desert heat.

Our verdict: What are the best hotels in Vegas?

We’ve got a few great options in this roundup of the best hotels in Las Vegas, with something for every kind of vacation and traveler.

If you’re looking to get up to some typical Vegas debauchery, we recommend The Venetian Resort. With an extensive casino and an array of dining and drink venues, it has everything you could want from a trip to Vegas.

Want to party on a budget? If so, we don’t think you can beat Luxor — if the iconic Egyptian pyramid and Sphinx exterior aren’t enough to make you want to stay here, then the affordable prices, stylish rooms and impressive amenities should do the trick.

If you’re traveling with family and want a break from gambling, our top choice has to be Four Seasons. With family rooms, babysitting services and areas for your children to play and relax, we can’t think of a better place to stay during your trip to Vegas.
